My name is Maria Lombardi. I am a current graduate ofWilliam Woods University in Fulton MO. I have been studying American Sign Language and Deaf Studies for the past 4 years and continue to learn something new everyday. I have had the privelage of growing up in a world where communicating with others comes at ease. When reflecting on why I wanted to become an interpreter I beleive it is because it gives me an opportunity to experience others beleifs, opinions and thoughts that are contrary to my own while being nonjudgmental and accepting at the same time. I aspire to become a medical interpreter and continue to do so through hard work and dedication.
